I have win2k and just run a spyware removal tool. Ad-Aware. I thought some settings may have been permanently damaged so I over installed the same OS. I still have all my original programs but now I get a message that I do not have enough memory to run certain programs. Namely add dial up connection under internet options but I can't even open folders in mycomputer. I run task manager and no programs are running and it recognizes 512mb free space. Another symptom I noticed is that I have no "Make new connection" icon in Network and Dial Up Connections in control panel? Any ideas?

I recieved my first virus and loaded Symantec business to help isolate and clean it. It seemed to have worked but then I restarted and got: Stop: c000026c unable to load device driver. \systemroot\system32\drivers\symredrv.sys device driver could not load I downloaded the newest version of this driver, copied to my system and now I have: Stop: c0000262 driver entry point not found \systemroot\system32\drivers\symedrv.sys device driver count not locate the ordinal 27 in driver symtdi.sys I have tried to uninstall Symantec in safe mode but windows installer is not availible to perform the task
