    Problems with installing mdk 10.0

Danleff, Thank you for replying me. Yes it is 128 DDR ram. The CDs are in good condition and they are read by both Windows and RedHat Linux When they're in the CD-rom. I made the partitions by using the Mandrake utility. I deleted a 10 GB partition (previously RedHat was in it) and then I partitioned that free space into 4Gb and 6GB. The 6GB for RedHat and the 4GB for the Mandrake. In my succeeded Mandrake instalation I installed XP 1st, then Mandrake and then RedHat in the sane Hard Drive. After formatting the Hard Drive I installed XP 1st then I tried to install Mandrake (in 4GB) but I failed then I insatalled Redhat in that 6 GB. Now I have XP and RedHat in my Hard Drive. I was able to boot the system by cd #1 in Mandrake installation. Please tell me what to do. Thank You.

    Problems with installing mdk 10.0

Frist of all I want to say thanks to Danleff for replying my question. I 've got a P4 Desktop machine. It has got, Intel[R]1.70Ghz Processor, 128 MB RAM,40 GB Hard Disk, 32MB Nvidia RIVA TNT2 64 Display Adapter and the Mother board is P4SE/SA-UAY manufactured by ASUS.Sound is inbuild. CD-ROM is 52X I 've got this problem which says that the "kernel and the some packages are missing" in my "second instalation". MY first Installation was OK. There was no problems. I have to formatted my Hard Drive because of a Virus Problem and after that I tried to install mdk and I've failed. I have RedHat Linux 9.0 in another patition of my Hard Dirve and Windows XP too. They're working all right. Those CDs are downloaded ones.I got them from a friend of mine. I checked the md5sum of the ISO files, they're seems to be OK. This is my whole Story and I'm sorry for telling a part of that previously. Please give me a solution. Thank you.

Did you burn the disks at a speed of over 4X or 8X? Iso images like to be burned at a slow speed, not the top burn speed of the drive. Are you using cdrw disks or cdr disks? Are they good quality disks or a "no brand" variety of cdr media? 3. Are you trying to install on a system with an "old" cdrom drive, or installing from the cdrw drive that you burned the disks with? Some older cdrom drives have difficulty reading disks burned with a cdrw drive.
  5. I've got the Mandrake Linux 10.0 3 cd s and tried to install. It went alright till it comes to the package selection screen.I choose the default set of packages and I click ok to start the installation. After that it said there is no kernel and some certain packages are missing. Then I click OK. Then prompt again to the partition table screen. I tried again and then said the base system is not selected. Please tell me a solution for this. THANK YOU.
