    Invalid boot.ini file

    i used this and saved it as default - ANSI [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect it was on the windows bulletin board. the link was provided by someone elses reply. works fine. just create a file in c:\ called boot.ini and put this info in. should work fine if windows is installed on c:. you can check by going to start>run> type msconfig then go to the tab that says boot.ini and it can check it out for you.
