  1. Recently, after installing some security hotfixes to my windows 2000 build I had a stop error when rebooting. I had applied about 30 of these fixes through the windows update so I cant pinpoint which update is causing the trouble. Everything was working fine with SP2 installed. Basically, I am using the mscant3.55 driver shell from umax with the Mscant2.43 vistascan driver overlaid. What happens is when win2k attempts to load the umaxdrv.sys file of the vistascan 2.43 driver, it gives me the STOP message. I am using the adaptec 2940 scsi card with my Pentium III dual I ghz system 512mb ram. Any ideas. This model is not supported directly in windows 2000 and I have only been able to get the Vistascan 2.43 driver to work in NT and windows2000. Thanks
