Outlook 2000 and WinNT 4 server

I'm a little confused on how to approach this problem . . . I want to be able to access a single instance of my Outlook 2000 data; email / contacts / calendar, from any one of a number of Win98 clients. I'm running a WinNT 4 Server. I thought it would be as simple as having the .pst file on the public network drive, but after reading some articles on the Microsoft site, I'm not so sure. Plus, .pst doesn't seem to be up[censored] consistently as I view it from one workstation to another. Could someone please point me in the right direction? It would seem there'd be a paper out there somewhere on the steps to get this done right - I just can't seem to find it! Thanks in advance for your help. Aaron in Littleton CO

    WinNT Server and broadband problem

Setting the TCP/IP properties to obtain address from the DHCP server (router) worked. That was easy enough. Thanks for your assistance. Aaron

    WinNT Server and broadband problem

The router supplies DHCP services to assign IP addresses, not the server. I can ping from the server all PCs on the network, as well as the router. The server also can be locally pinged. DHCP is not enabled on the server - maybe that has something to do with the problem. I have not touched network card settings. Thanks. Aaron
  4. I'm running a home-based LAN with Win98 clients and a WinNT Server. Broadband (Comcast) connections are made through a hub connected to a router, and all PCs work fine with with internet. My problem is that I cannot figure out how to set up the server to access the internet. Current setting for IE under 'connection' is 'automatically detect settings.' Under the TCP/IP properties, IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway settings are all in place. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your response! Aaron / Littleton, CO
