heres what i got: laptop running 98SE desktop running XP both in same workgroup both can see eachother in the net.hood everything is fine right? question is: sometimes they dont "talk/see" eachother, and it takes a couple refreshes, sometimes even 10-20 minutes for it to finally just pop up in the net. hood. why is that? is it b/c my crossover cable could have a bad connection/wiring, or something wrong with my hardware? it works sometimes, but sometimes it doesnt cooperate. how do i get around this? THANKS A WHOLE BUNCH =) ;(

i gotta saphire radeon 7000 64mb w/tv out video card that i bought for real cheap. what do u think about that running with AMD 1800+, win xp ? just wondreing if i should reconsider buying a better card for future games that might require higher standards. thanks =)

im not a complete newbie, but had a question for those who could help me out... i have a laptop running 2000, and desktop running xp. everythings networked fine, i can share files, internet, etc. but when i create a game in starcraft ipx, it shows the game created by 1 of the cpus and when the other cpu joins, it says unable to join game, then it disappears. has this happened to anybody? i tried uninstalling and installing the ipx protocols, and still no change...
