    Star Wars: TIE Fighter

Yep, that seems to be the solution I read the most about. Unfortunately, the thoughtful folks at Hewlett Packard designed my computer in such a way that XP is preloaded and protected on the hard-drive. There's no installation or recovery disk so there's no way to put XP back on in order to dual-boot. It's supposed to be self-healing if anything happened to the OS, at least that's what the kind folks at tech support say. (they're very polite about it...but the core message is: forget it.) Anyone else with XP pre-installed having the same woes?

    Star Wars: TIE Fighter

I don't have an answer to your question--but just a comiseration: I can't get X-Wing Collectors Edition to run either. Good luck!

    Steel Panthers III

Anybody have any luck getting steel panthers III to run on XP? I can install it fine, but when I run it, the monitor goes inactive. I can hear the sound of the intro in the background, but can get nothing on the screen. Tried compatibility modes; no luck. thanks

    janes fleet command in xp

It's been a while since you posted this; I hope you've gotten it working since--but just to let you know I just installed Fleet Command on my HP pav. 510n and it works fine so far under XP. (of course I have a heap of other games that won't work and cause me much aggrivation.)
