Corinthian 0 Posted August 15, 2000 When I started Windows Media Player 7 earlier today, I got promted to download a patch for it. The patch included something for Adaptec Easy CD Creator, and other things I can not remember at the moment. Well, when I rebooted, Adaptec DirectCD can't find a supported CD-R recorder. It worked just fine before I downloaded the patch ! I have a Plextor 8/4/32 IDE CDRW recorder and the final ver. of WMP 7 Share this post Link to post

JohnnyLC 0 Posted August 17, 2000 uninstall the Windows Media Player 7 first, then re-install it (don't use Windows Update, go to microsoft to download wmp7), during the installation of wmp7, avoid installing the cd writer plugin (you can disselect is when doing custom install) Share this post Link to post
