LiveWare 3 (or any other version) and startup sounds.

Recommended Posts

Lets see if I'm the only one....

After you guys installed any of the livewares... are you unable to get any startup sound?

I have a startup sound, and I have changed it many times, but it never works. It DOES work, however, on a clean install of Win2k before any SBLive drivers are installed.

Just one of those wierd things.... hoping somebody has an answer.

I have installed Liveware 3 and the previous version. I do have a startup sound. However, the volume is always loud and only from the 2 front speakers. This has improved a little in liveware 3 but it is still notthe way it should be. It has something to do with win2k playing the sound before the sblive driver can "take control" if the sounds (or something like that).

I have exactly the same problem, since installing LW3 I have no start up sounds..

I think I did have 'Thunder' sound the first time I rebooted, but after changing the settings in the AudioHQ I no longer have them?

A friend has installed it also and he has no problems? Dunno if he's dabbled with AudioHQ though..

Nope - I installed LW3 and it worked perfectly - nice lil Thunder sound on boot-up as well.

Although I changed that to my standard THX movie sound, much MUCH better smile
