LIVEWARE 3 FOR WIN2k News update

"I guess all of us, including the folks in Singapore thought everything

would be hunkydory and the new Live!Ware would be well on it's way to

the users by now.

I'm sure you've already figured out that this isn't all good news. It

seems that the driver portion is still not back from getting it's WHQL

bit turned on (it was expected back last Monday). The only bit of

reassurance is that it has indeed passed the requirements for WHQL

compliance. At this point everyone is still hoping for next week.

Will post updates as I get them.

the last driver set passed WHQL compliance too, so I am not holding my breath. That one incident ended any hope I had that WHQL/WDM approval would actually mean something.

fingers crossed (but turning blue by now),

Yeah dragon makes a good point. certification means jack sh*t. Nvidia's 'certified' tnt drivers gave me hangs and reboots.

Wish someone released a few leaked versions of creatives mess they call 'liveware'

This was posted today on the Creative Newsgroup:

The drivers have been received from MS. At this point, it looks like

they may be posted some time next week (probably towards the end of the

week). This is kind of lousy timing since we are going into a 4 day

holiday weekend and won't be back until the middle of the week, but the

light is at the end of the tunnel.
