3Com U.S Robotics on Mandrake 9.1

i have 3Com U.S Robotics Modem on mandrake 9.1 but it can't run ... How i can install that thing

This modem is working fine on my PC. I had it running on Mandrake 8.1

 

Is it a external or a internal ? What does the modem do? Com problems ?
