LOS ANGELES -- Ubuntu announces that it will hold the first UbuCon hosted at the Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE 8x) on Friday, Feb. 19, in an all-day session of talks and activities. Part unconference and part scheduled sessions, UbuCon will cover what is going on with, and how to improve, the Ubuntu community. The final hour of the event will include lightning talks. The Fedora team invites those interested in attending to help create process and how-to content, solve and mentor problems and educate the wider community about how participation is conducted this year in an effort to improve the capacity for more students and mentors for the Google program, as well as others. This helps extend the “web of trust†to a great degree, while also providing a forum to discuss strong cryptography and related issues.
