The app, titled Three Wolf Moon HowlTone Generator, is co-released with The Mountain's new glow-in-the-dark version of the company's top-selling Three Wolf Moon t-shirt. The new glow-in-the-dark shirt will only be available through the app and will be offered at 25% off retail price until February 29th, 2010.

 

Newark, NJ - TapFactory Apps has announced they will be offering their official Three Wolf Moon iPhone app FREE for a limited time. The app, titled Three Wolf Moon HowlTone Generator, is co-released with The Mountain®'s new glow-in-the-dark version of the company's top-selling Three Wolf Moon t-shirt. The new glow-in-the-dark shirt will only be available through the app and will be offered at 25% off retail price until February 29th, 2010.

 

The Three Wolf Moon HowlTone Generator app is a ringtone generator that allows users to create custom, authentic wolf cry ringtones. To generate a custom ringtone, users can enter their name (or any word) and the app will use its algorithm to generate a howl ringtone. Users also have the option of recording their own HowlTone ringtone by recording howls through the iPhone's microphone.

 

"Our goal in creating the HowlTone iPhone app is to unite fans of Three Wolf Moon," says TapFactory, "The t-shirt has garnered such a following that we thought it would be cool to further foster the esoteric Three Wolf Moon community by offering a tool to create unique wolf howls. It's a secret hand-shake of sorts. If a Three Wolf Moon fan hears a phone ringing a HowlTone, it will strike a silent bond between the individuals."

Authentic wolf howls were graciously supplied by Maria from EverythingWolf, which are actual recorded howls from her wolves Wa-ta-chee, Ohoyo and Waya.

 

The Three Wolf Moon t-shirt became an internet phenomenon after gaining popularity from reviews on Amazon.com attributing great power to it such as being irresistible to women, striking fear into other males and magical healing abilities. Since then it has maintained its position as a top-seller in Amazon.com, as well as earned world-wide recognition. The distinctive early review by "Bee-Dot-Govern" in November 2008 stated, "...wolves would have been better if they glowed in the dark," prompting The Mountain to release its follow-up glow-in-the-dark edition of the shirt.
