Vancouver, Canada - InfoLogic, Inc. today is proud to announce MathMagic Personal Edition 6.8, their award-winning multi-purpose equation editor for Mac OS X. With a focus on the equation quality and ease-of-use, MathMagic Personal Edition is a standalone equation editor for mathematical equations and symbols.

Perfect for both casual and heavy users alike, MathMagic Personal Edition was specifically developed as a standalone utility for use with any word processing, presentation, or graphic application, for example, iWork, AppleWorks, Microsoft Word, Keynote or OmniOutliner. Equations created with MathMagic can be used with various applications and documents by Drag and Drop, Copy and Paste, or Export/Import.

Version 6.8 enhances the interaction with web contents even further. It introduces "Copy as Google Docs equation" and "Copy as Zoho equation" menu to help Google Docs and Zoho Writer users write equations fast on top of MathMagic's superior WYSIWYG equation editing environment. Many web based equation editors require some level of understanding in LaTeX to write complex equations. However, MathMagic's unique WYSIWYG editor helps anyone write, share, and communicate their deep knowledge and technical information over the internet whether or not you are fluent in TeX, even though MathML, LaTeX, MediaWiki, and Plain TeX are backed up by MathMagic.

InfoLogic claims MathMagic can be used as a hub application for technical writers as MathMagic reads and writes many industry standard file formats. MathMagic reads various Math expression formats, such as MathML, AMS LaTeX, LaTeX, Plain TeX, MathType, Google Docs equation, Wiki equation, Zoho equation, or graphic files saved in PDF, EPS, PICT, JPEG, GIF, and WMF by MathMagic or MathType. On top of all the features MathMagic Personal Edition offers, MathMagic Pro Editions come with additional plug-ins for Adobe InDesign CS~CS4 or XTensions for QuarkXPress 6~8 to improve the productivity in inserting and editing equations within InDesign or QuarkXPress documents.

Version 6.8 adds better support for Google Docs equation and Zoho Writer equation. MathMagic now stores its data in JPEG and GIF files as well so that user can re-edit those image files later. v6.8 also improves Plain TeX conversion as well as other new or enhanced features.

Version 6.8 adds new or enhanced features including:

* Copy As Google Docs equation, Copy As Zoho equation commands added to Edit menu so that MathMagic equation can be directly pasted into Google Docs Equation editor window or Zoho Equation Editor window.

* Google Doc equation can be drag and dropped to MathMagic window to re-edit. Or, its LaTeX expression can be copied from Google Doc Equation box, and then pasted into MathMagic window.

* The URL of Google Docs equation which contains its LaTeX expression can be pasted into MathMagic window. MathMagic parses the URL to extract the LaTeX expression.

* Added: MathMagic equation can be drag and dropped to MathType window.

* Equations saved in GIF or JPEG format can be opened for editing if saved by MathMagic v6.8 or newer.

* MathMagic equation can be drag and dropped to TextEdit utility and OmniOutliner, or vice a versa.

The superior quality and productivity of MathMagic have been selected by thousands of large publishers and university presses around the world. Professors, students, scientists, engineers, and school districts rely on MathMagic Personal Edition for their math communication and publications.

First available on Mac in 1998, MathMagic's equation quality is unsurpassed and designed to meet stringent high-end DTP requirements.
