Which OS is better for Cd-Burning?

Recommended Posts

Ok, which OS is better for burning CD's, Windows 2000 or Windows ME? Speed wise which is better and which will give me the least amount of coasters? I just bought online a Plextor 10/12/32 Cd-recorder which should get here next week, now I want to know what OS to use with it. Also what burning software do you advise. The Plextor comes with Adaptec Easy Cd Creator 4.03, is this good?

Thanks, Falcon96

Doesn't matter. Plextor has Burn proof tech which monitors the buffer and stops writes to the CD if the buffers runs out. In terms of OS crashing then 2000 would be best for CD burning but if your 9x is stable stick with it.

First you will needAdaptec ASPI updatesfirst. For the best burning programs I have used are Nero 5.0 and DiscJuggler 3.0. The best OS for burning is Windows 2000 for me. Windows 2000 has been good to me and never gave me any problems with burning CDs. Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.03 is OK but not great. You'll be happy with Nero and DiscJuggler smile.
