Karelia Software today released Sandvox 1.6.3, its award-winning website design software for Mac OS X. Version 1.6.3 is a free, maintenance update and provides full compatibility with Apple's Safari 4 and Safari 4 WebKit and preliminary compatibility with Snow Leopard. Until August 7, 2009, Sandvox is available as part of the just-launched MacWeed Creative Bundle, as well as directly through Karelia's online store.

 

Alameda, California - Karelia Software today released version 1.6.3 of Sandvox ®, its award-winning website design software for Mac OS X. Version 1.6.3 is a free, maintenance update and provides full compatibility with Apple's Safari 4 and Safari 4 WebKit and preliminary compatibility with Snow Leopard, Apple's Mac OS X version 10.6.

 

Responding to a subtle change introduced in Apple's WebKit framework, installed as part of Safari 4, version 1.6.3 fixes an issue with importing documents as new pages when dragging them directly into a Sandvox document. This update also improves the content of Movie Page RSS feeds, media handling, and MobileMe publishing. Sandvox 1.6.3 also updates to the latest Karelia iMedia Browser framework, fixing a few minor bugs.

 

A Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel architectures, Sandvox 1.6 requires Mac OS X "Tiger" version 10.4.11, or "Leopard" version 10.5 and above, and is available in English, French, Danish, German, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. A single-user license to Sandvox costs $57 (USD); a single-user license for the Pro edition (enabling raw HTML editing plus additional Google integration) costs $97 (USD). Household licenses and site licenses are also available.

 

For a limited time (until August 7, 2009) Sandvox (Regular Edition) is available as part of the just-launched MacWeed Creative Bundle, along with twelve other Mac applications, including Interarchy, Voila, Media Catalog, and ImageFramer, for $49.99 (USD). Sandvox will be "unlocked" when 40,000 bundles have been sold.
