Magnetism Studios today announces the release of SnapWords 1.1, a unique and simple social game designed to be played with others by passing the phone or iPod between multiple players. Inspired by classic party games like Taboo and Pictionary, SnapWords is all about getting together with friends and having fun. Players split into two teams and are challenged to make their partner guess the word on the screen.

 

New York, NY - Since launch Apple's App Store has flooded with technically sophisticated, poorly designed games. Inspired by classic party games like Taboo and Pictionary, Magnetism Studios announces the release of SnapWords, a unique and simple social game designed to be played with others by passing the phone or iPod between multiple players.

 

"It's very different from most other games on the platform. Rather than being a game that you play alone, SnapWords is all about getting together with friends and having fun," explains Magnetism co-founder Joshua Keay.

 

Players split into two teams and are challenged to make their partner guess the word on the screen. Just like with traditional board games, SnapWords' rules are intended to be flexible, so players can customize the number of players, the rules and more. Some players will allow pantomiming, while others will follow stricter rules.

 

"I've been playing on the subway with my friends. It's really easy to get everyone involved by changing the rules," comments Katerina Vorotova, an early game tester.

 

As with other Magnetism Studios apps, exceptional graphics and audio were a major focus of development even for such a simple game. Attention to detail makes SnapWords stand out from other.
