Montreal - Newly-founded Montreal-based game developer and publisher Gamesmith Studios is the latest company to board the iPhone games train, and it's doing so in grand fashion by releasing 8 fresh new titles simultaneously. The company's founders, both under the age of 30, promise that this initial launch is the first of many, hinting that they have already signed a number of partnerships which will be revealed in the future.

"Publishing great Apps conceived by other developers is an intricate part of Gamesmith's strategy. We like to think of our arrangement as a collective of small independent developers, working together to increase our exposure on Apple's App Store, and collaborating to create great new innovative products" says Jasson Michaud, co-founder of Gamesmith Studios. "We want the Gamesmith name to be synonym of fun, high-quality interactive products."

Gamesmith's titles available as of today include XO: Tic Tac Toe 3D ($1.99), bringing a new twist to popular childhood classic, Tic Tac Toe Classic (free), the original game of Tic Tac Toe in three different color skins to fit the user's mood, the Perfect Date ($0.99), a cleverly humorous checklist designed to help you efficiently prepare for romantic date, Indigo Ocho ($1.99), a fast and compelling 3D adventure taking place in a mysterious labyrinth tower which takes full advantage of the iPhone's accelerometer, Joyland Bounce ($1.99), in which you explore the enchanting world of Joyland in a quest to find the Moon and Stars and CubeLex ($0.99), a casual blocks game that is sure to impress the die-hard Tetris and Bejeweled fans.

Free feature-limited trial versions of both Indigo Ocho and Joyland Bounce are also available. All of Gamesmith's products are available on both iPhone and iPod Touch, OS 2.2.1 and up.
