Software Ops is happy to announce the release of Aerochive, a Mac OS X application that stores backup data from My Eyes Only, the personal information protector for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Aerochive allows the backup, restore and transfer of data between devices running My Eyes Only. The data can be viewed from within Aerochive and is fully encrypted and password protected on the Mac.

Software Ops continues to build upon the personal information protector, My Eyes Only, by adding the ability to backup and restore user's valuable information from My Eyes Only (MEO) to the Mac OS X desktop application Aerochive.

 

Aerochive for Mac OS X stores multiple backups of MEO data on a user's Mac. The data is fully encrypted with 256 bit RSA encryption and all the data is password protected. A user is also able to view all the data by backup date and by categories defined in MEO. In addition, all the MEO data can be merged from one device to another in a few simple steps.

 

"A way to backup important data stored in My Eyes Only, has been the number one request by our customers", states Joe Michels, founder of Software Ops LLC. "We now have a solution available for our Mac users, and are now working to deliver a Windows version of Aerochive soon."

 

MEO and Aerochive use Apple's Bonjour networking technology over a WiFi network to make fast connections between an iPhone or iPod Touch and a Mac. Data transfer is initiated with a few quick touches from within MEO.

 

Pricing and Availability:

Aerochive is available on the Software Ops website, where a free 15 day trial can be downloaded. A special introductory price of $9.99 (USD) is also available to early adopters of Aerochive.

 

My Eyes Only can be found on the Apple iTunes App Store where it can be downloaded onto the iPhone or iPod Touch. The price for this application is $8.99 (USD). Software Ops LLC supports My Eyes Only through it's web site.
