DVD in Win2k causes lockup

I have Windows 2000 Pro installed.

 

everything works except my DVD-ROM.

 

it's a DRDVD840...(Digital Research)

 

when ever go to use the drive for anything it causes an entire system crash...

 

It's slave on my secondary UDMA/66 controller.--i have win2k drivers installed.

 

does anyone have any idea's?

Do you have the latest ASPI layer?

I think ASPI Layer has something to do with DVDROM as well. Can anyone confirm this?
