BlackScreen F.E.A.RExtractionPoint Vista x86, Help

I am getting a black screen on starting F.E.A.R. Extraction Point.I can hear sound but nothing else until eventually the game crashes.

What PC specification do you have? FEAR is quite resource hungry.

Have you tried running it in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode?
