joebloggs33 0 Posted January 20, 2007 Hi just after installing mandriva on my sony vaio fs515e it has 1.7ghz celeron, 512ram, 80gb hdd, intel gma900 15.4" more details on spec here: http://www.ciao.co.uk/Sony_Vaio_FS515E__6486881 i keep gettin this error message when i try to type in startx data incomplete in file /etc/X11/xorg.conf at least one screen section is required (ee)problem parsing the config file (ee)error parsing the config file fatal server error: no screens found XIO: fatal IO error 104(Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining anyone any ideas how to fix it? urgent help required Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted January 20, 2007 You posted this on the Windows forum. Would you like me to move this post to the Linux side? When you installed Mandriva, did you configure the display at the hardware summary and configuration screen? Look under that section in the guide here. Share this post Link to post

danleff 0 Posted January 25, 2007 Do you have the users manual? Looks like there are some real issues with some Vaio laptops. Look at this article on Fedora. Additionally this one speaks to your actual video driver. Share this post Link to post
