DirectX question

Hey i was wondering if someone would clear this up for me...

 

I heard that there is a new version of directx on the win2k retail?

 

I think i heard that this is version 7, and works for both OS's (streamlined)

 

the directx i have for wink 2k now is 7.0 (4.07.00.0700) Is that whats on that retail cd?

I have the retail OEM, my version is also 7.0 (4.07.00.0700) .
