PC stuff for free

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

I just found this pretty neat site that is giving away free stuff, such as the 1GB of Corsair XMX Xtreme Memory, a bundle including; an Ati Radeon 9800 PRO, 512MB of PC3200 DDR RAM, and a 180GB hard drive. There is also the option to get the brand new ATI Radeon x800 PRO video card, or a cash option. The best offer has to be the Compaq Presario laptop though, it looks pretty cool.

All you need to do is click on the following link , and follow the simple instructions as you go!

I like this in the terms and conditions (in uppercase too):

Quote:
c). THIS SITE IS CURRENTLY IN A BETA TEST STAGE AND WE DO NOT GAURANTEE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE A PRODUCT FROM www.TECH4FREE.COM, EVEN IF ALL OF THE REQUIRED STEPS ARE COMPLETED IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ABOVE. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO GET YOU YOUR PRODUCT, BUT BECAUSE THE SYSTEM IS UNTESTED, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ANYONE THEIR FREE PRODUCT, NO MATTER WHAT THE REASON.

Let us know if you get your free kit...

In other words, "this is a spiffy way of gathering loads of e-mail addresses for us to spam you with for ever more, which costs nothing for us, and if you're expecting your free gift, you might as well start doing the lottery because the odds of winning on that are much better than the odds of ever getting anything from us"

Nice 'referrer' link you posted there Wicked101...tsk tsk

IMHO I don't thnk referrer links should be allowed.

Then again, I think with the age-group of this forum, most of us are too wise to click on it anyways.

I know I know, an old friend of mine sent me a mail with this link so I thought I'll help him out a bit and get some RAM in the process smile but, silly me, I didn't worry about reading anything cause I was in a hurry, until I saw the posts, then I read the Terms and Conditions, hee hee, I dont even live in the US, and its only for the US.
