XP password Question

How can I find a password (I don't recall setting up) in XP to set up a network?

Where is it asking for a password? Are you just setting up a share and when you try to access the share from a different computer it asks for a password? If this is the case and you're using XP Pro, the user needs to have an account on the machine with the share unless you enable simple file sharing.
