local security policy?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know how I can get Local Security Policy in Windows XP Home? I've seen it in Win2000 Pro. I was wondering if its only available in WinXP Pro.

Never used XP Home (Except for a VERY early beta) so I dunno. XP Home & Pro are from the same build so it should be possible to splice & dice some files...if I had Home I'd check it out for ya. I'll see if I can grab a copy from work (Some Dell's at work came with copies of Home. ;( )

Agreed

(That's FAR from all the things you can do with secpol.msc & Pro/Server versions levels of security & policies...)

Far better than the old POLEDIT used with NT and 9X
