No sound

Hey, when I play an audio cd, I can only here sound in windows media player, if I use winamp, or musicmatch, nothing but dead silence. The timer goes, and the slider goes like its playing but no sound... anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like you need to connect the 4 pin audio cable from the cdrom/cdrw/dvdrom drive to the sound card/motherboard. WMP7 and newer read the cd audio 'digitally' whereas most other apps still read the cd in 'analog'.
