run command

when i click on the start button the run command is missing any ideas im running xp pro on a toshiba 8000 laptop any suggestions or ideas as to why and how to restore it thanks guys

Right click on the taskbar, click properties, select the Start Menu tab, click the Customize button, select the Advanced tab, in the Start Menu Items window, scroll down and check Run Command.

If the laptop was supplied by work, and you use it to connect to a network, the Run command may also have been disabled using User Policies.

all is well again tweakxp had changed the settings thanks for all the replies davros had a fix that would have corrected it special thanks for his knowledge:D
