Helmann 0 Posted March 11, 2002 OK. It appears by default that windows messenger is usable only by admins group. But i share my computer with other ppl and need them to have access to messenger without them belonging to admins. Searched through group policy and now know how to dissable messenger but cannot find a way to enable it for other groups. Any help much appreciated. Share this post Link to post
Helmann 0 Posted March 14, 2002 seems messenger 4.6 is the culprit. The fix is to uninstall messenger 4.6 then install 4.5. Then sign on with 4.5 with all user. after reinstall 4.6 and all is fine. Apparently microsoft nows about this prob and should have it fixed for the next release. Share this post Link to post
