how do i do a dual boot in windows xp

i want to install another os (win 98 se)

You must have the first partition on the drive (C:\)formatted as FAT32. Install 98 on C:\ like normal. Then boot off your XP disk and hit F2 at the beginning to do the Automated System Recovery.

BTW, while it can be done, having XP as NTFS will be a major fubar as 9x CANNOT read NTFS.
