Quake 3 Frezzing!!

my quake 3 arena full version just frezzes inside the game

when i go to setup my players and options...IT JUST FREZZES

so i can't move around

i tried every version of q3a all the patches

pisses me off

 

btw here is my comp.....plz help me i don't want to go back to win2k pro

Audio PCI 128 bit Sound Card(running XP final drivers from final release)

regular keyboard

Genius mouse

56k V.90 internal fax modem PCI GVC9(running latest XP drivers from final release)

Relisys 17" monitor

OS: Windows XP PRO 5.1.2600 final

All I can say is i have problems myself too. When I exit quake 3 or halflife (both openGL) the computer locks up, no BSOD just freezes.

 

I have a geforce 2 and have tried plenty of drivers 12.xx 14.xx 11.08 08.xx and the det 4

 

Direct3D games works fine. I think its a drivers issue not worked out yet, make sure nvidia and id knows about the problems!

NO Problem here with WinXP Pro (Devilownz, Clean install)..

Work like a charm with my TNT2 (Det 6.5 Driver)...

 

Probably you can try 6.5 since 21.81 is speically design for GF3/GF2, no performance gain at all for TNT2 user...

 

Maybe that's the reason why Q3 freezes..

Same problem here. All opengl games fuk up when i exit them.

 

Specs:

Elsa TNT2 (Det 7.59 cause anything above causes random lockups)

512mb Ram

2x PIII 1Ghz

ASUS CUV4X-D Motherboard

WinXP Corporate RTM
