Recommended Posts

Hi there!

When I'm trying to configure a program/driver, I get the following error:

X include missing or something like this

How can I solve this??

Ok, the error I get when compiling a program is:

X Windows include files missing

Kernel Version Running 2.4.21-99-default

Found Kernel Source Directory ()

grep: /.config: No such file or directory

scripts/setup.sh: line 116: [: -eq: unary operator expected

Using SuSE 9.0.

I admit, I'm a WIndows user who likes Linux a lot!!

It's running very smooth...

But....

Why are those error mesaages so damn cryptic when installing from source code???

I think a desktop user could spend a lifetime learning how to decipher error messages in Linux and still run into something that they can't figure out. I guess that's what separates the programmers from us common users.. smile

You know what, I think you're right wink

Ow well, a computer and it's software and hardware is complex enough to give everyone its own interests.. programmers, common users, designers, etc etc laugh
