No floppy

I just built myself a new system...it's the lower one...but didn't install a floppy on it(won't have one for a while). How do I convince Win98 that there is no floppy drive? 2000 and Whistler had no probs...but this does.

Try to disable the floppy in BIOS.

you should just go buy a floppy they are only $5-$10 then your problems are solved

bumm the money off friends if you have to that always worked for me..

i disabled my floppy before in my bios, win98 still said there was a floppy drive, except this time it was a 5 1/4 drive

i agree, i hate the peice of sh1t floppies also. just let it go, i'd like to not have to have a floppy too

it is stupid windows defualt NO MATTER WHAT!!! settings, it seems no matter what u got a floppy of some size!! dam MS!!!! is there perhaps a reg setting to disable it altogether and to get ride of the floppy icon in 'my computer? perhaps? any one look or try this? just an idea
