80sgamer 0 Posted February 1, 2001 Ok does anyone else have this problem.. i'm hooked up to a dsl line using pppoe to connect... things run fine but in 1-2 days my connection dies and i have to call them to give me a new password, because when i try to reconnect it says bad password. I called ameritech on this they said it wasn't a problem on their end and that they will change my password anytime. But what would cause this on my end? Thanks In advance! EddiE314 0 Posted February 3, 2001 Never used the lynksys, but i did have this problem on a Cisco 2524, i might suggest restoring it to factory defaults and starting over, tell me if that doesn't work. Share this post Link to post
80sgamer 0 Posted February 5, 2001 That didn't work...so here's the deal.. I called Ameritech (the phone company) again on friday and was on the phone with them for an hour! all the while they are saying its a problem on my end... finally they admit that their server is messed up and thats why its booting my password, and the service should be fixed by Saturady.
