You can't use any usb cameras, but there are firewire ones and I think NT's support firewire.

You don't need any drivers for most cd-roms, cd-rw's. What you downloaded is a dos driver. You only need it for dos or win 3.x.

Where did you download drivers from? Also try to get drivers via windowsupdate

The second option would be getting a free linux distribution. I guess all support usb , there are some that can be run without an insatllation. Only a bootable cd is needed.

Yes but even if it's an exe it's probably compressed. So you can try to open it with winrar. Can you post a link to that file?

I doubt that it's possible, but you could try something if the server you downloaded from resumes a download. If the file you downloaded is a compressed one you can try to extract at least a part of files with a program like winrar. The amount of files you can extract gives you the idea where the error is. BTW if there is a school library an internet cafe or maybe a good friend that has a faster internet connection and a CD burner I'd recommend downloading there.

at boot the computer lists installed devices. Try to press pause at that screen. It should list your audio card if it's plug and play. Put the numbers into google it might find something. I use to do this for my old PII and some PSU fans. If you can remove the fan on the oposite side of the fan is a sticker if you remove this sticker you should see the axle of the fan. Put a drop of lubricant there the best are teflon based ones. Whatch that you don't get any lubricant on the sticker, cos it won't hold afterward. Put the sticker back on spin the fan with your hand and try it on the card. If it still doesn't spin you better get a new one.

I too think this is a feature but it still sucks. There should be a standard format like .mht that all browsers would support.

It depends waht you want to do with the captured files. Uncompressed capcures will create huge files, but if you want to convert them to divx or xvid it's the best option. I personaly directly use xvid codec (the best picture with the lowest file size IMHO). BTW if you use very high resolutions uncompressed data stream will be higher than what your hdd can handle.

why don't you try realVNC or or winvnc or Radmin? All those programs enable you to log on to a remote computer and use it like it was your own.

Maybe it's just me or maybe I should read the help file, but then again I never read help files. When the search is complete how do I delete one record only. And how do I select one or more records to delete. If press delete it wants to delete everything? Is this an error or am I stupid. If you have a tv-out you can have two monitors and a tv at the same time. So two monitors shouldn't be a prob.

I think 1TB scsi setup would comst much more than sata. The only bad thing with sata is that you can only use raid 0, 1 or 0+1 modes AFAIK. The way to go is raid 0+1 that is speed and safety.
