could it be the raid driver? because i have the KT7 without RAID, a Geforce 256 DDR, a live! value and plus more on my computer. But i haven't experienced any BSOD in 2K, RC1 and RC2

I had the same problems before when i had the character studio installed. But they were gone after i did a re-installation without the character studio.

try search for mplayer2.exe in your harddrive. it should be on your computer, and its the mediaplayer 6.4

I used the same version as you did on boot time and regualr defrag. too, but i have no problem with it.

I wish all of the stuffs on my pc is 100% legit too. I had win95 CD coming with my desktop, win 98 CD ocming with my laptop. When i built my new desktop, i actually went to buy a 98SE OEM CD. but i found that its very very very expensive to keep buying the os. Not to mention that all the other softwares, e.g. photoshop, winzip... etc. There is no way for a student to afford all those software.. Maybe the .net service can change that later, since you will get the upgrade when you subscribe to the service. No more new version of windows.. All will have the Blackcomb windows, but the rich guy will have more service packs on it, and the poor guy will have less.

the patch only work for version 4.2 not 4.0

Try Nero Burning Rom or CDRWin. They both work well for me

I think sygate is better, since you can edit the NAT table, more flexible configuration

Where do you get the RC2+ autopatches ?

i have done fresh install for win2k, rc1 and rc2.. and Nero always works prefectly, so does CDRwin 4.0a. Never tried the build-in cd authering program that comes with XP.

i have a question about the codes. Does that completely remove the WPA from the XP? or does it just disable the popup reminder and you are still required to put in the activation code? Thx, FatFish

Hi, I have a diamond scsi card. If i do a clean installation of RC1 or RC2, the driver of that card can't be installed, it kept saying that the driver is for win9x. Anyone have a solution? p.s.: I can only get it working by installing win2k first then upgrade the os to rc1 or rc2 thx, FatFish

1. uninstall and re-install 3d studio max 4, during the installation, choose not to install the character studio. 2. download the 4.2updater form below and install it.
