  1. Dont think the battery died but somebody else mentioned this to me, il reset the BIOS and see what happens, also i have disabled everything onboard apart from the LAN as i need that since it wont boot with any LAN card in.

Il check this out and get back to you all :x

EDIT:This is the error i get BTW

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

  2. Yes but as i said there is the exact same issue with the onboard sound, seems highly unlikely to be the Audigy with a problem if the onboard gives the same error, i can possibly try other ram and see if that makes a difference and also test the Audigy on another system

Sorry forgot to say the system is the P4 in my sig with the ASUS P4S533-E

    motherboard

  3. Ok yesterday my comp was working great, turned it on this morning to find the internet wouldnt work.

So i then tryed the onboard LAN and the internet would work but i am now getting on my soundcard not enough free resources, so i turned off the onboard and put the old NIC card in and the PC will not boot with any of my 3 NIC Cards in (2 being brand new Netgear ones). So i removed them and let the PC boot without any LAN and just the soundcard, the sound card still had the same problem even though the onboard LAN was disabled frown .I have even tryed to put the onboard sound on and remove my audigy but the onboard sound says the same error as the Audigy.

So i removed all my cards except my soundcard and reformatted my PC, still the same problems and i dont understand whats going on at all frown

Anybody got any ideas of whats up? i tryed up[censored] the BIOS and that made it worse so i downgraded and its back to the way it was.

  4. I would say that temp is ok, my 1800+ used to go about 60C after games and it was sturdy, no crashes, etc and its still alive now kicking in my mams PC. I would say leave at that if you dont want noise. I was sick of noise and temps of 50C+ on my P4 that i spent about £260 on my watercooling setup and now get 40C max with my GF4 and Mobo on the same line as the CPU and its really quiet, especially after that GF4 fan came off. Anyway i would leave it nice and quiet mate

I have the 2200+ on the .13 Fab. I haven't heard good or bad as far as overclocking. Seems like it overclocks ok, anyone heard or seen anything with this model?

The 2200 is supposed to be terrible, infact so much that its hard to get it over stock speed. Anyway thats what i heard and the reason why i didnt get a 2200+.

  6. Go watercooling if you dont want noise, cant hear a wisper from my 2 titan aluminium 120mm fans at 7v. Im currently gettng 29C idle on my P4 2.53 @ 2.85, thats with my GF4 and NB on the same loop and the GF4 overclocked, load is 45C. Cost me about £200 so over there should be cheaper for you and you can overclock like a wild man laugh

it is geocities - they do not allow outside linking of file, just right click on the red x and get the direct url.

I assume then that alienware gets their cases from the same source... since those look like the cases alienware uses.

I tried several sites for these pics but damn it just wont have it, why doesnt this forum allow u to upload pis frown like most others. Maybe you guys can just copy the links to the pics into IE.

If I install WinNT SP 4 on my XP machine, will it screw everything up? If so, any other solution?

I think he was meaning actually installing WinNT with SP4 not SP4 from WinNT onto XP.

Anyway your best bet is to try compatibility like alecstaar suggested.
