yeah sure i have it, EDIT: ok i now have SO many ppl asking me for this file, its not practical for me to keep emailing it. so i need some hosting for it pls. its only about 1.5mb all told, including the 1.5 patch which u need anyway. can someone pls help me out? and let ppl continue playing this great game. thanks guys......its all about helping each other out after all.

is it a copy? i read that there is a protection in GTA3 that means if u have a copied disc, over time it degrades and eventually the game becomes unplayable.

do u have to use windows XP. maybe try windows 2000 pro and see if u get a better response. in thiskind of instance i would try a different o/s

veritas backup exec is the kind of thing ur looking for. dunno if u can use it without a DAT drive tho. sorry

hi guys, my friend has just bought a gf3 ti500 made by leadtek. it is on a Gigabyte Ga-5Ax rev 4 board. on a k6-2 450mhz cpu. he has 320mb of ram. i have installed the relevant ALI chipset drivers (an ide & agp driver) however after being booted for around 10 seconds. the computer restarts...every damn time. no screen dump or bsod.just restart. has anyone got any idea why this could be? there is also something that appears in device manager called WINFOX this is something to do with it.but im not sure what. i installed the newest version of this from the winfox website. but still no joy. any one get any ideas? thanks guys 8)

fan is on the way out? causing computer to get hot..and bsod's...i had that to. i put a big cabinet fan in my comp. and now its fine

dude, make sure u have the NICs installed n both machines correctly. and that there r no conflicts. then make SURE u r using a crossover cable. and it should work. if not. try plugging 2 cables into your switch, but one into the the uplink port and switch uplink on .......then try it. Matt

so u make winxp "look" like win2k? then why not just use 2k ? maybe xp has some features u like more? im intrigued........

is your computer oveclocked or anything like that? if i were u set ALL the bios settings to default. and retry it. also try swapping the cd rom......instead of the win2k discs.

yeah, just go into device manager, and select UNINSTALL for the driver. if it tells u that u have to reboot for "the changes to take effect". dont bother, just put your new driver on..........then reboot. this is how i do it, and ive never had any problems. unless someone knows a better way ?

i have NO problems with ANY games in win2k...apart from red alert. i even got colin mcrae rally to work. and EVERY game since about 1999 works. i would not hesitate.........put it on.....try it.......u wont b sorry. i reverted ALL my machines (6 of them) back to win2k from xp pro. i hate it.

i MUST tell u that when i did this. it overwrote some of my win2k dlls with win95 dlls. and totally corrupted my system. so i could not install ONE program afterwards. i had to format. no one could help me. so now i do not TOUCH red alert.

answer: Install win2k. job done. hope this helps. PS: there is an option to remove the mut anyway. in advanced options when u click search.......but as i said. use win2k.

correct me if im wong. but i think once u get over the 4gig that is fat32's limit. ntfs claws back its performance and is actually fater than fat32. im a hardcore win2k pro man with ALL ntfs partitions. i hate 9x and anything to do with it. and hence avoid it like the plague. i thought only noobs used fat32 still. hardtofin

Please can anyone tell me where i can find a driver for an ESS ES56T-PI Data fax Voice Modem. I have been to the ESS website and linked to their FTP site where it said they had Win2k drivers but they dont work. I have also tried an NT4 driver but that didnt work either. Thanks a lot for your help in advance.
