hmm install sp1 and the application fixes update i dont think jedi knight is supported out of the box

ok here it goes, i just bought a logitech pilot (the new model @ http://www.logitech.com/cf/products/productoverview.cfm/78 no..i put it in the usb port uninstalled and then installed the drivers (9.0) every so often it hangs so i think what the heck, ill try the ps2 port. and whattya know it works and works without hanging the whole comp. the prob is that even though i put the mousedrivers on 200hz, when i check with the ps2 rate checker it says im only @ 153hz (u can find it @ www.bluesnews.com --> mouse resources ) then i try to install ps2rateplus (@ tweakfiles.com) and no matter what i do i wont get it to work it just says that some vxd/dll has to be in the same map that the .exe is in (which it, of course, is) so how do i make a THOROUG uninstall of the logidrivers and how the **** can i put it up to 200 hz ? os -> win2k logi 9.0 drivers sp1 hmm cant think of anything else that should matter. thx in advance

btw, the ps2/rate checker util IS accurate..at least it ALWAYS reports 125 hz when i use usb

mouse soap #3 installed new hd (ibms deskstar 30 gig ata/100 yummie) and of course newly installed my system on it so id have wi2nk on the fastest hd. last night i put my mouse in the usb port again and whattya know it worked all night even though, with the previous install, it hung occasionally in q3 go figure thx for the help anyway theres nothing a reinstall wont fix it seems

in the "run" menu type drwtsn32 and deselect all the options

200hz is great yes i think its the drivers too..since when i uninstall them (also remove .dlls and stuff then dll wont remove - not the reg **** tho) it still detects my old mousesettings btw . i have kickas machine so i dont care that much about those little more cycles more rate would mean [This message has been edited by nagual (edited 08 December 2000).]

or david could have a real REAL system like mine (yes SHS mine`s bigger than yours p3700@933 asus cusl2 (1003 final bios)(also the latest inf, ata and security drivers) 2 different noname sd100ram@133 gf2 creative 32 meg (6.47 detonators) sb 64 =) logitech mouseman (logitechs 9.0 drivers) everglide giganta asuscom isdn adapter (lowest ping i have had was 25@64kbit =) well..at least this adds up to 210 fps @ 800x600/16 in the fastest setting with speedlls =)

i was reffering to creatives own glidewrapper..but as it turns out it doesnt work with my gf2/win2k ...

something i read the other day..this one u can bump up to 200 : PS2 Port Hertz Adjustment Any real gamer is annoyed by an inaccurate mouse. A slow refresh rate on the PS2 port will make the mouse be less accurate. This will make the pointer move more smoothly across the screen. Sorry Windows 9x users, this is for only NT Users. Find the key below and open the “SampleRate” and set the value to a higher number, as high as 200. The higher the number the smoother the mouse flow, but also the CPU usage will go up. or if u use a logitech just use the latest logi drivers (ps . the other proggy is called ps2/rate)

u can actually get most dists to be a lot smaller than 512 megs...id recommend http://www.debian.org u can dump most of the programs of the other dists..what u need initially is a nic and a texteditor (vi or emacs recommended) dont bother with x..itll bloat ur install and uses a lotta recourses [This message has been edited by nagual (edited 04 October 2000).]

hmm..im so happy with win2k that im definitely not am going to upgrade to a beta os..and like baronx (i think) pointed out there are prolly still som compability issues with whistler..also im a bit reluctant to chagne to a os, however fast/stable, that looks like a gameboy not sure how fast it boots (win2k that is) but who cares..i just reboot once a month anyway.. its shutsdown in less than 5 secs anyway [This message has been edited by nagual (edited 04 October 2000).]

actually just when u get into fandurs dungeon ull find a way to get all your olds stuff back through rescuing the maiden hm.just kidding .)
