I would say thats pretty fast..Nice scores on the Sandra mark. Any chance you could run off a 3dmark2001? The only part of your setup I would not have is the ti4600, but thats because I cannot justify the expense of them as they are at the mo. You using any extra cooling or just the usual intsake and exhaust with standard PSU cooling?

I have UT2003 on pre-order... It looks excellent. I just hope they brush up on their netcode, and not use what they used in Unreal Tournament. Admittedly I was on 56k then not much better now tho, best I can get is ISDN, which is now what I have. I am also looking forward to PLanetside

I too have used DABS for the last three years and have found them very good (touch wood). I have sent them an email and will let you know of the outcome. The Ti4200 has been getting superb reviews everywhere and I hope they are going to get some stock in

I went to check on my order, and I find that they have taken the Ti4200 off the webby. So I check my status, and it says...'Awaiting Stock' Cool I thought...until I clicked on the actual order number and see to my horror > 'Obsoleted Product' Thing is, I have 2 of these babies on order £150 each inc. VAT (Niiiiiiiice!), so will DABS honour my order? Have they just taken the card off the webby because of a high volume of orders? I am going to email DABS tomorrow. (fingers crossed) they will honour my order. What do you guys think?

I am very disappointed with SOF2. Its just SOF1 with new maps. They have made no headway with the graphics or AI. It even uses the same explosions. Very very disappointed. It is also very boring. I couldn't even be bothered to die b4 I turned it off. Give it a miss, and buy SOF1 on budget or somewhere.

but does your m8 have a USB gamepad plugged in? The reason I ask is because I finally got Carmageddon 2 to work in XP (might work in W2k now too with this fix). I followed the fixes on this site to no avail. That was..Until, in a moment of madness I unplugged my USB gamepad devices, and lo and behold the bladdy thing works. I know its a wild card, but hey, you never know. Only bad thing is that I ahve to play Carmageddon with keys

If its VIA, I would recommend you install the PCI Latency Patch. That is the exact same problem I had in W2k. Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (Lucas Arts) Yes W2000 03/01 Received the follow messages: 1) It hangs when trying to create a new player but if you can get around that, it runs fine. Go to a win9x system and copy the created pilot info/folder onto your win2k system. Run the game a works great. Some minor restarts from time to time but nothing major. It seems to get better the more you run it. 2) The launcher doesn't work, but if you run Rogue Squadron.exe (in the program files\lucasarts\rogue directory) the game starts fine. You also have to create pilots on another machine (W98) I couldn't get my joystick to work but keyboard and mouse are fine (V5/SBlive) 3) As others have advised, get a pilot file from a Win9x machine. My joystick (CH Flightstick Pro) doesn't work, either -- and neither does my mouse (Microsoft IntelliMouse optical). a P4 1.6 with 512mb pc133 sdram. For gaming it is excellent, but for desktop apps it is appalling. Only last night I installed my desktopx theme onto it off my other pc (dual p3 1ghz), went online for a game of Tribes 2, and had to come out to unload the desktopx theme as it made Tribes 2 run like a dog! Also, heres one for you.... I have installed an eicon pci ISDN card into these pc's. On the P4, if I burn a cd (Nero) and am connected to the internet I find I cannot surf anywhere, if I have downloads coming down, they stop! Once the burn has finished, browsing, downloading resumes.
