Where can I download ME b3?? win2000 rulezzzz btw )

I'm also using a voodoo3 2000 with the latest w2k drivers from 3dfx but I can't choose 3dfx opengl either.. only default opengl. and... I have to deselect EAX and choose default sound because with EAX, the game is running VERY slow and a lot of "sounddrops".

All of my games are having heavy loss of frames while playing. For example, SoF and NFS porsche are running very smoothly with my voodoo3 2000 except for W2k.. does anyone know what to do or who/wat to blaim for it? thanks

Does anyone know where I can find GOOD working drivers for my DV500 for W2K ??? There are some drivers on the cd but when I installed, w2k crashes. these drivers worked great in RC2...

I've got the same problem.. hibernate is no longer allowed and when I launced the app it takes a long time. but everything is working !!

Does anyone have drivers for it? only drivers I got are some beta drivers of logitech, terrible image quality..

I played soldiers of fortune, descent3 with much lower framerates. You can perfectly see differents in a heavy action scene... win98 everything is running smoothly but not on w2k... Got a voodoo3 2000 card, using retail drivers from 3dfx. PII 400, 256 MB RAM, SBlive!

I know... there is also a section on the logitech site where you can download w2k drivers if they are released in about 10 years or more without using that stupid Update program. o well... still waiting.

My question to everyone... What do you think that's running smoother and faster with apps and games?? Win98 or Win2000 ? Just wanna know

Where can I get Windows Neptune ???? I'm using w2k / win98 dualboot but Soldiers of fortune is running slower in w2k, less frames then in win98 and I'm using retail 3dfx driver for my voodoo3. But W2K is solid as a rock

Hi there I totally agree with everything you said. Good story, almost start crying. beatiful !! w2k rulezzz. and i agree, it's very very hard to go back to win98 after you worked with w2k.

Does anyone noticed or any idea how to get real 4 speaker support backonline in powerdvd or any other dvd prog???? In win98 there was an option in pDVD : 4 speaker output and it worked FINE! In W2K, no such option and all the others don;t give the same REAL 4 speaker/surround effect. Please Help. Thanx Alot.

I also thougt about it to just go back to good old win98... but the problem is I like win2000, it's so damn stable and most apps runs faster and smoother... only most games won't run on my system. . . voodoo3 2000 PowerDVD.. liveware is also nu fully finished. too bad..

Yes, it's about w2k. I've got a webcam express. there are win98, nt4 and w2k beta drivers on the cd but these stinks. can try your way, installing w98 and then nt4. hopefully the imagequality improves...

What's so great about linux ? If you just want to USE it.. impossible First you need to read a couple of books... I don't know but I think that there are just like win2000, linux also have many disadvantages. But that's my opinnion. And ok, linux is open source.. so what? Everyone can screw up the whole thing. who things the same or different about it? cheers

Hi ya.. this is what I like about the people who visited these forums. You can talk about anything without getting some people mad because you're PRO linux or PRO w2k. I'm not using it as a fileserver, I installed it a few times, debian, red hat and mandrake.. in mandrake, kde was crashing a lot. but tell me, what would be the world WITHOUT any non crashing apps?? Currently using W2K, for games, internet, apps, multimedia... games just a few, primary mp3's and all that stuff and visiting this place. I also searched for that option and finally found it and it worked! Click with right mouse button at my computer, go to properties, hardware, device manager, go to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, and choose the properties of primary ide channel or secundary and here you can set UDMA to be used or PIO mode. GOod LUck !

but..... PowerDVD 2.55 has supposed to be compatible with W2K officially and also SBLive... or is this not true.. any suggestions are welcome

HELP! I've got w2k for a few weeks running and I like it a lot, everything works great... but I do have 1 problem.. none of my games works in w2k pro. WHY ?? I've got a 3dfx voodoo banshee, also tried with a voodoo3 2000 but every time I start a game like prince persia3d, driver, halflife, etc it pop up an error, does anyone know why? please help. used the hacked drivers and nt 4drivers. THANKS !

I don't get it anymore... I'm still getting this message: ... has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. It only happens with games, NO problems with apps. I tried it with a voodoo3 and retail drivers, with a banshee card, once with the hacked drivers and once with the nt4 drivers, pc is no longer overclocked, reinstalled win2000...... why o why..

Hi there.. I'm working in W2K, sblive beta drivers and 4 speaker support ) except... from my line-in. does anyone know how to fix this so i have 4 speaker support when I put my rio on it or tvcard or other device?
