  1. X:\> Ghost.exe -split=645

If you start Ghost like that it will span the image for you. (645=645MB, you can change it if you like)

Or since you got V2001 you can save the image to CDR's from directly from Ghost, but I think that's slow.

I'm not sure if Ghost can run under WinME but thats not recommended, use a bootdisk with some kind of DOS.

  2. Check the service "Windows Installer" it should be set to Manual. (you can stop it now if it's running)

Perhaps you did set it to Automatic by mistake, that is the service which start msiexec.exe

    Try it...

  3. Haru, I have to tell you, that was the best written post I've seen in this forum for the last 6 months. And it has nothing to do with computers...Sad but true.

    Peace

  4. I'm using Nero5.5 Preview now, and it´s great! I have created 5 CD´s so far with no problems whatsoever.

With all the new features i can finally toss Adaptec´s POS is the trash with a big laugh

Hope the final is coming out real soon..

  5. I read on some newsgroups that it was possible to flash the 9100 with the 9300 firmware using Sonys flashtool with HP's firmware.

I could not resist to try it out biggrin.gif and after some nailbiting, booting win2k and testburning I can tell you it worked *great* !

All apps and windows see the drive as a 9300+.

So far I have burnt 5CD's at 10X, no problems at all.

    Tested with Nero5, EZCD5 and CDR-Win.

If any of you want the files I'll send them to you, just mail me...

  6. /"I tried running "setup.exe -igntforce" but I get the same "This product cannot be installed on Windows NT due to a DirectX limitation." error as without the -igntforce.

    "/

    It should be -Lgntforce

  7. You'll get some of the betas/RC but not all, and you'll have to wait for them...

And you proberbly will get a 120-days Trail when it's final.

Thats what I got with my subscription during the Win2k betas..

My advise to you is, if possible cancel your subscription if you don't need all these CDs at work. And if you do, you boss should pay them for you.

The best thing with Technet+ is the Resource Kit and the KnowledgeBase, not the Betas smile

    Sorry

  8. Hey pr-man, you have been posting here for almost a year now... Two possible reason´s for your post:

    1. You are just checking if people here can provide you with some firsthand experience, checking if they know their OS and you have been running it yourself since at least beta3.

    2. You're a complete retard, been running Win9X or NT4 for the past year, and even though you have tested win2k you are still not sure that it's better.

I am 99,99% sure it's reason no1, but whats the ****ing point ?

So whats up ? This is not ment as a flame, just confused
