I´v got several problems with ACPI on my Compaq, seems like XP and W2k handles ACPI different...

  2. Can´t play on Novalogic, can only host new games. Can´t even play LAN-games over IPX.

I have contacted support at Novalogic; they claim Lan-games over IPX and Windows 2000 never have worked (DF1, DF2 and DF3). I remebmer clearly that DF1 worked 100% over IPX on my Win2k...

    Anyone with some information?

  3. They worked for me!

I´v tried them all, and this is the only driver that gives me a decent performance in OpenGL (QuakeIII and Unreal Tournament)!

Still it crashes in D3D, but who cares? I´v finally got OpenGL to work :-)

I always run my games on maximum visual quality; Q3@800*600 gives my 58FPS. In 1024*768 I get 38 FPS.

I´d also like to mention the Dell Liveware for SBLive - it rocks!!!

    My spec:

    Dual PII 300

    CL Geforce SDRAM

    386MB PC100 RAM

    W2K Pro 2195 (final)

    Asus P2B-DS (default BIOS settings)

    IBM IDE-HD

I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it, uninstalled it and reinstalled it again. But I still get BSOD when I try to use it! What is wrong? My options of burner software is limited...esp because I have a Teac 56s, which only a few softwares support.

I have the final Pro, and Nero 4.0.8.3. This version is supposed to be supported by Win2K. Installed it yesterday, and everything worked perfectly! Today, after visiting windowsupdate and installed everey update available, Nero gives me BSOD...

Everything froze when I tried to load Q3 or UT. Found out that "something" in my profile must have been corrupt... Login with a new account fixed it for a coupple of days. Upgraded from 2194-2195 - now everything works great with the 3.64 driver...

I really want these, but I can´t find your email-address...

    Post a link?

  7. Never underestimate the power of clean install :-)

I´v been running W2K for about a year now. OpenGL and D3D have been a problem on my dual PII almost all the time. I´v upgraded my PC with every interim build and RC´s, and I´v tried every driver for my CL TNT. The only driver that worked perfect was Nvidia 2.08... After upgrading to Geforce 256 once again the OpenGL support was broken. Tried all versions av reference drivers but none worked... Formatted my disks and reinstalled W2K 2194 pro - used Nvidia 3.65 and everythin worked perfectly!

So - to all of you folks out there - try a clean install if the newest drivers don´t work :-)

  8. Works fine!

    W2KPro 2072

    Q3Test 1.07

    1024*768*32

    Asus P2B-DS

BIOS 1006 with SMP 1.4 enabled

CTL TNT with www.mswin2k.net´s OpenGL driver

    CTL SBLive (native driver)

When enabling dual processors I was able to increase resolution from 800*600*32 to 1024*768*32 without any lagging!
