I temporary disabled the avatar function because there is a problem right now with the upload. None of the uploaded avatars are in the avatar directory. Is the bold font now better? You may need to clear your browser cache. Are there still display glitches with Firefox? apt-get install mysql-server-4.1 will install MySQL 4.1 and upgrade the old databases to the new version

I am testing now an alternative stylesheet with bold fonts. To switch to the alternative stylesheet: Appearance => Bold. You find this option on the frontpage in the left menu. Are the fonts better readable?

Hi Felix, Thanks for your suggestions. The thread locking feature is part of the next version of the CMS system. I will move to the new CMS version as soon the current development release can fully replace this installation. There are many other interesting features coming including attachments (with gallery functions) and email notifications.
