No need to be sorry for asking questions, it's the only way to learn. In most cases there isn't a huge difference in model numbers. I was hoping that that would do the trick. I'm running out of ideas over here. I'm hoping that one of the other guys will read the thread and have an idea or two that will work. I will keep thinking of something that hopefully work. Sorry it isn't working so far.

I think it is something loading that is causing the problem. Earlier this morning I was able to get to the desktop picture and was finally able to get task manager to pop up and noticed that there was quite a few things that hadn't loaded up yet. So I picked a service at random and shut it down and next thing I know, everything loaded up. The only problem was about 30 seconds later I was hit with a DCOMM error message that said that the NT System was being shut down in 55 seconds. I rebooted and did all that I mentioned above and this time the error message was for the RPC or the RCP and then the system shuts down. So since it doesn't seem to matter which service is shut down that allows for the rest of the loadup I will just have someone come in and take a look at it. Four days of frustration can do that to a person:)

One thing I forgot to mention earlier Stacy. If you do the Update driver it will ask you where to look for the driver and you can point it to look at those 2 files you downloaded earlier.

Hi Stacy, no problem. Just delete the driver itself don't delete the files or folders. You can also give that update driver a try and see if that does the trick. Good luck.

Your most welcome for the help. Just do a search for where each driver is located and then put the new ones in those folders. Don't forget to delete the bad drivers before you add the new ones. If that fails to work then write back and we can take it from there.

Well I wouldn't worry about Froogle and their prices. Nearly everyone on there is a storefront/business not like EBAY. One thing to remember though is that place you mention is in the UK so that price might be $160.00 Pounds which is $304.13 US Dollars. You might want to PM Relic and ask him for the name of the place he uses in Canada since the exchange rate would favor a US buyer.

You may be able to find a great deal on stuff on EBAY but if the stuff is defective in anyway or dies right after you install it. Good luck in getting your money back from an EBAY seller. To me it isn't worth the risk when you have loads of online stores that at least you have some recourse with if you have any problems with what you buy. Plus with the high cost of older ram you could nearly buy a stripped down computer that will run Win XP no problem.

Hi Guys, I need some help here. Does anyone know of a program(s) that will convert .flv's to .wmv's? I have tried Super with no luck. I looked at Winamp 5.3 but couldn't find anything. Unless I missed it somehow. Thanks for the help

I thought the software my wife uses was Winfax when I gave out that info. I found out today that she actually uses EFAX software with her cable modem.

Yes, it will work with a cable modem. The modem wether it be a dial up or dsl or cable modem is only giving you access to the internet. Winfax does the rest.
