Hi,
Does anyone know what these clips are called and where I can find some please?
I get a lot of graphic cards at work from customers that manage to break these clips or lose them, dont ask me how that manage to do that but it happens
Its those little clips that holds the heatsink on the graphic card, it also has a little spring on it for tension or something.
Heres a pic of a graphic card with some of these clips. I know its not a very nice example but it gives you a bit of an idea
Thanks
in advanced

OK, I couldn't find the solution on the net so I got one of these converters to convert S-ATA to IDE and unlocked it. Lol, now at least the customer doesn't have to buy a new HDD, but I locked his bios so he cant play anymore

Hi,
Remember me long time since I been online
Anyway, I have a problem, I have a customer PC, its a new one and he played around and locked his Hard Drive and he cant remember the password.
No, I have a lot of programs to unlock hard drives but only for IDE, not for S-ATA, does anyone perhaps know how to unlock a S-ATA hard drive please?
Its a brand new Packard Bell PC and they say the customer has to buy a new Hard Drive but I know it can be unlocked but as its a S-ATA its not so easy and being Packard Bell with their Master DVD I cant find the S-ATA driver either.
Thanks

LOL, this is funny, hee hee. I dont really believe in these things, but I'm not gonna say that nothing has happened to me yet, because I've just got plain bad luck, and if I say it something will happen to me.
Its Friday, thats all I care about, light a nice braai, burn some meet and drink a couple of beers :-)

elo surfer_boi,
Hmmmm, is that intel graphics onboard? it sure sounds like it.
It sounds like your system is running out of resources, and if that grapics card is onboard then it means it uses 64MB from your RAM, which leaves you with 192MB RAM.
Try what Wilhelmus suggested and close all unneeded applications, also do a defrag.
How much hard drive space do you have free?

The one I have has: (with a serial for each one)
Microsoft Windows 2000 Pro
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Advanced
Its only for testing purposes though, but its great to have.

Well, its possible, but not if its a burnt CD, mine is original

I fixed my little problem, but it took me a while.
First I tried to re-install SDK by deleting all the SDK files and the "GCF" file, it didn't work, then I tried the same with CS:S, still no go, after a while I formatted my PC and re-installed, installed HL2 and did all the downloads and so on, incl. SDK, now it works.

What happens if you dont use the invites?
Do you win something if you you can hand out all your invites?
I've still got all of my invites as well, I dont really know what the big deal is about these invites, almost every forum there's someone trying to get rid of their invites, why?

Ouch, thats a wipe out
I had a very important user, the secr. of one of the directors, and everyone that works in a big company knows the secr. thinks they are more important than their boss
well, anyway, we wanted to backup her stuff and reinstall but then a friend/col. decided he'll do it his way and make a ghost img. He ghosted the blank HD over hers, hehe.
Anyway, I re-installed the game, I refreshed the files but nothing worked, I tried it on my second PC and it gives me the same error.

Hi ScinteX,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, googlr told me tha same thing, but I was hoping it will not come to that :-(
You know what, its not only me with that problem, its all my online buddies, they all have the same problem, I dont know if its one of steam "great" updates that ruined something once again.
I also tried to refresh the files for Hammer using steam's refresh function, I suppose they have that option cause they know they're not perfect ;-)
Well, anyway, I will pop in my CD later tonight and re-install (if I get the guts, I'm pretty tired, been mapping for the past couple of days with very little sleep) and let you's know the result.

I've got a big problem, well, for me its a big problem :-)
I'm using the Hammer editor to create maps for HL2.
Now, the problem I have is that whenever I select "Counter Strike Source" (you know, to create a CSS map instead of HL2) instead of "HL2" or "HL2 Deathmatch" I cant open Hammer, I get an error, that stupid microsoft one that says "this program has performed....blah blah blah" then you have to click "send" or "dont send" and when I looked in the event viewer this is the error it gives me.
"Faulting application hammer.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module vstdlib.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00007f27."
I hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance
Regards

I've got the D-Link 624+ and if I connect more than 3 PC's on wireless it starts giving me problems like that, first the link quality goes down so much till it drops the conection. If possible, try to shut all the PC's but 1 and then see if it still drops the connection when you open IE.
You can also try to connect one of the PC's to one of the LAN ports of the router (if it has one) and see if it also drops connection when you open IE.

You have your own PC shop and you have these clips in your store, then please give me your website address and I will order it from you.

You meant that the local hardware store has them, if so then please give me their website address and I will order it from them.
