    Administrator Password

Try WinInternal's Administrator Pack for Emergencies like this: http://www.winternals.com/Products/AdministratorsPak/ or these tools as ZDNet: http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=Reset+password&tg=dl-2001
  3. These user profiles: are they profiles in C:\Documents and Settings or Roaming profiles? If the former, then do NOT copy the profiles across as NT4 profiles are not compatible, just copy the Application Data, Desktop, Personal Data and Favorites across and forget the rest. For Roaming profiles, you can do a straight copy and then set up the user permissions again and change location in AD Users and Computers in Profile tab.

  6. In which case buy or get hold of another Hard Disk, remove your original HD and install the new HD. Install XP on the new HD, then you will be able to access your files when you add your original drive back in. Alternatively, get hold of Knoppix, boot off Knoppix CD then you can backup your files from the HD to CD or DVD to your Cd/DVD-RW drive. Then you can reinstall Windows from scratch again. See http://www.knoppix.com/

    pls help!!frequent bsds

Its definately a hardware problem of some sort, sounds like a problem with memory. Having two different memory sticks can cause big stability problems, they should be the same type and speed. Replace the two sticks with one of the faster you can get for your motherboard...

  23. If the modem is a free USB Modem then the options are limited. For sharing a network connection, you really need an Ethernet ADSL Router modem, then you can connect all the PCs and Macs together with a hub or switch and connect that to the Router. If you had to use the USB Modem then you need to use ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) which is fine for PCs but not for Macs though.
  24. Well, according to Microsoft it isn't but obviously I forgot about 3rd party products...
