To check out whether ur usb devices are detected, you can get this software called usbview.

I used to have a GeForce 4 64 MB card and it worked great with the NVIDIA linux drivers.

Does anybody here know how to make a CREATIVE PC-CAM 850 run on linux? It's not inside the Camera list in Linux and when i plug it into my pc, a folder called "camera" is created in /mnt but nothing else happens. -

When you run music or games, do you get an error message or does everything play as per normal but no sound comes out of the speakers? -

Haha. Got that problem as well. Check your KMix options and raise the 1,2,3,and 6,7,8 bars. Nothing wrong with ur hardware i think. -
Urm. I don't really think so. Did you install using code or RPMs?
-
Once you guys get the invites can you please post it here so i can make sure i didn't miss anyone out.
-
Yes. It can be done rather easily... Just downlaod the new theme and unpack it. There will be a .theme file. Just use the SK gui to load that theme and it will be done automatically on startup in the future.

If you want a Gmail account then please post your emails so i can send you guys the invites. And jnb, please repost your email. Its wrong.

You use GNOME or KDE? If its GNOME then select Acions from the Taskbar and select Screenshot.

So far not that i know of but your best bet would be to use WINE. I've managed to install alot of games using WINE..
-
Its RedHat 9.2 for the last in the RedHat Linux line. Now its Fedora Core.

I have this weird sound problem with FC2 which is that i don't seem to have sound in many apps in FC2. All the games that i run in WINE like diablo 2 have no sound. UFO Alien Invasion and chromium b.s.d don't have sound either. I'll get errors messages like "cd audio not available". But XMMS and system alerts work fine. I didnt have this problem with RedHat 9. Im using integrated AC'97 sound btw.

I'm thinking of getting an iBook and there's this question that's bugging me. I see that all PowerPC processors don't exceed 1.25 Ghz. How does a 1.25 Ghz PowerPC equate to a 1.25 Ghz Pentium? Is it faster? Cos if the 1.25 Ghz PowerPC is the same as a 1.25 Ghz Pentium then i dont wanna get an iBook anymore cos most laptops come with 3 Ghz Pentium processors now. Cos the price of a 1 Ghz iBook is about the same as a Pentium 4 M laptop, I just wanna know how the two will compare when i use it daily. Say for work and gaming.

Doom 3 doesn't work for me either. Otherwise flash works fine for me.

The md5 file itself does not play a part in burning the iso to a cd.It just contains the md5 checksum value that you double-check with to verify the ISO's validity.
