  1. the repository that apt is trying to use is not working you need to change that. go to /etc/apt/ and open sources.list and edit (change) the repository (go to freshrpms and find a list of repository or do a google search for apt for redhat) Then do apt-get update...apt-get -f install...apt-get install synaptic to start synaptic type synaptic at a root promt. and install xine-ui or do apt-get install xine-ui.

    good luck

  2. for nvidia go to XF86Config-4 file and change the driver from ¨nv¨ to ¨nvidia¨ it should be located in /etc/X11/ as for dvd movies you prob need decss (or whatever the initials are) to decrypt the dvd. do a google search for ¨linux dvd suse¨ and you should get plenty of help . The previous post that recommended the site that gave you the divx4linux file should have the proper files as it is a xine site ( i believe)

    good luck

  3. If you´re using KDE, goto where you downloaded the rpms (and it´s best if you get mandrake specific rpms) use Ctrl-T to bring up the console, at the console type su and the root user password, then type: urpmi package-to-install.rpm if its needs any files that are on the cd´s it will promt you for them, if they are not on the cd you will have to look for them on the internet. I would suggest adding contrib and PLF to Mandrakes sources for apps and files. Goto www.pclinuxonline.com and find Easy URPMI Config link.

    Good luck
