I am buying a new hard drive and need to know the best program to clone my current one before replacement

Norton Ghost or PowerQuest Drive Image.
If you're doing a straight drive-to-drive clone, either program should suffice; if you're cloning to an image, Drive Image is the only app that supports writing to NTFS drives.
